Time: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Description:
We warmly invite you to the “Building Community Together” Neighborhood Engagement Forum, a collaborative event designed to bring residents, local organizations, and municipal representatives together in a shared effort to enhance local life projects and improve our collective living environment.

The forum opens with a keynote speech emphasizing the importance of community participation and collective responsibility in creating safe, inclusive, and vibrant neighborhoods. Speakers will share inspiring examples from other communities where residents have successfully shaped local policies and initiatives.

Afterward, participants will break into thematic workshops focused on key areas affecting community life: public spaces, collective housing, youth participation, and transport accessibility. Each workshop is facilitated by AIDAN team members and local experts who will guide discussions, encourage brainstorming, and help translate ideas into actionable plans.

In the public spaces workshop, residents can propose ideas for improving parks, streets, and communal areas, focusing on accessibility, safety, and green spaces. The collective housing session will address common issues such as shared facilities, maintenance, and neighborhood relations. The youth participation workshop will explore ways to engage young people in decision-making and community activities, while the transport workshop will tackle challenges around public transport access and mobility.

Participants will be encouraged to present their own projects or concerns and collaborate with neighbors to identify opportunities for joint action. The event also includes a “Community Marketplace” where local associations and service providers can share information about ongoing initiatives and how residents can get involved.

Later, a plenary session will gather all participants to share outcomes from the workshops, discuss next steps, and agree on a roadmap for collaborative community work over the coming months.

The forum concludes with an informal networking session accompanied by light refreshments, providing an opportunity for residents to connect, exchange contacts, and build lasting partnerships.

This event is free and open to all, reflecting AIDAN’s commitment to fostering a strong, empowered community where every voice matters.
