The six-time world champion Marc Marquez won the Thai MotoGP of seasonal openings on Sunday to complete a dominant debut weekend in his new work Ducati team after beating the sprint on Saturday on Saturday.

The majority of Spanish took the 26-round Grand Prix by 1.732 seconds for his 63rd MotoGP victory of younger brother Alex Marquez, who is still looking for a first checkered flag, with Francesco Bagnaia.

It completed a perfect weekend for Marc Marquez, who took over the pole position, the Sprint victory and the Grand Prix victory for a maximum of 37 points to open the 2025 22-leg campaign.

He led off the bar in the suffocating heat in Buriram and opened a comfortable lead of 1.5 seconds in front of his younger brother in round seven when he suddenly slowed three in curve to lose the lead.

Whatever the problem was, it was short -lived when Marc Alex stood in second place and put relentless pressure when the brothers knocked over the lead.

“Yesterday I was happy, I’m super happy today,” said Marc Marquez. “I mean it’s a dream.”

Alex Marquez had to work hard to keep the lead on his Gresini Ducati, and Marc made his movement with four rounds before walking, dived under curve 12 and then disappeared into the distance.

Franco Morbidelli was fourth and Japanese rookie ai ogura fifth in his MotoGP debut.

Marquez Senior had been fast all week and was the fastest in the opening training on Friday before he was beaten up in the afternoon session by brother Alex.

“For a moment I thought I could hold on to win,” said Alex Marquez.

“But he couldn’t use a lot of rear tires and I used up everything.”

Marc Marquez enjoyed a strong pre -season with the Ducati factory, which came from Honda, and has been strongly introduced since 2019 to win a first world crown.

Marquez and Bagnaia were celebrated as a factory ducati dream team, but some observers have pointed out that the highly maker mix of two quickly top-class racing drivers could prove to be too flammable.

“I gave everything,” said Bagnaia. “But Marc, he played with us all day. So maximum ambition was to end in P2, but we ended in P3.”

The beginning of the new MotoGP season was overshadowed by the absence of world champion Jorge Martin.

The Spaniard suffered fractures on his right hand in a horror accident during the tests in Malaysia and in a horror accident.

Then his Aprilia team said this week that Martin had suffered another mishap in training and operated more.

Aprilia said Martin would also miss the next race in Argentina in mid -March without he returned.
